Client Projects

Area of Expertise:
Leadership Development

Project Summary

  • Client - Fortune 100 Technology and Telecomm

  • Scope - 500+ leaders, impact on thousands of employees

  • Challenge - Develop “Trust” as a core leadership principle

  • Solution - Utilized existing leadership 360-feedback data to generate a “Trust Index” that established a baseline for leaders to understand how their leadership strengths and style impacted trustworthiness with their direct team. Created and deployed data-backed development tools through an internal coaching cadre of over 100 coaches and quarterly webinar training.

  • Results - Increased overall “Trust” score across the leadership group based on direct report feedback. Key leadership development activity that contributed to winning the “Great Places to Work” award for several consecutive years.

Project Summary

  • Client - High-growth Fintech

  • Scope - 1000 employees

  • Challenge - Reenvision traditional employee engagement survey to drive more immediate and meaningful utilization of engagement data.

  • Solution - Process review identified that team leaders were the key group to drive meaningful improvement, but had limited, delayed, or no access to engagement data. Ran several small pilots within the client to explore different “continuous listening” approaches. Utilizing key pilot learnings and executive stakeholder input, designed an engagement survey program that efficiently delivered engagement data to team leaders each quarter, with real-time pulse data in between. Created the support structure and reporting process for team leaders to set a team engagement goal each quarter with a rollup to executives.

  • Results - Maintained high survey participation rates, ~90%. Over 80% of managers entered team engagement goals. Reduced overall workload on Talent team supporting the engagement survey process.

Area of Expertise:
Learning Experience Design

Project Summary

  • Client - VC-backed Tech Company

  • Scope - 200+ employees, with continuous impact to org

  • Challenge - Adapt in-person team workshop to live virtual experience.

  • Solution - Adapted a four-hour workshop into a 90-minute virtual experience by creating pre-session learning activities that consisted of a short and engaging content video and a “homework” assignment that consisted of participants creating a learning artifact that would be shared with the team during the virtual session. The 90-minute virtual session was designed with the MVC approach (minimal viable content). This meant the majority of virtual time was spent in discussion and interaction using the learning concepts, rather than on the learning concepts themselves.

  • Results - The workshop received an average of 4.8/5 rating from the first 100 participants. It was requested by key stakeholders for entire functional groups within the organization because of the impact on improving how virtual teams worked together.

Area of Expertise:
Assessment Design &
Coaching

Project Summary

  • Client - Sales, Marketing, and Brand Firm

  • Scope - ”Build-to-suit” project, potential full org impact

  • Challenge - Shorten the time and simplify the process for individuals to receive 360 feedback, support internal coaches to easily deliver and debrief.

  • Solution - Built an assessment on an internal survey platform that measured what behaviors would be the most impactful on team success. The assessment included 3 categories and 15 behavioral items. Selected raters were only required to complete one survey activity to achieve the desired data. Reports were only 1-page in length and could be generated by the internal coaches. Created a toolkit for the participant (receiver of the 360 feedback) and another toolkit for the coaches.

  • Results - 360 feedback for a participant could be generated in a single day. The output was robust enough to generate helpful insights, but simple enough that coaches at all skill levels in the org could support the debrief sessions.

Area of Expertise:
Team Development

Project Summary

  • Client - Global Non-profit

  • Scope - 10,000 employees

  • Challenge - Create an on-demand team development experience that enables teams to be intentional about their working habits in a hybrid workforce.

  • Solution - Created a video-facilitated learning module that could be played in-person or via a video-meeting platform. The video acted as a facilitator by presenting content, providing instructions for activities, and recommending questions for discussion. Teams would be given the signal to push pause for an activity or discussion and resume the video to continue the learning experience. The overall learning experience enabled team members to learn about their own work preferences, learn about other’s similarities or differences, how these come together in their current team context, and what the team could do differently to be more intentional and effective as a hybrid team.

  • Results - As of the last report the video module has been accessed over 100 times and has received overwhelming positive feedback from participants.

Area of Expertise:
Employee Experience

Project Summary

  • Client - Tech Company

  • Scope - 800 employees

  • Challenge - In a global hybrid workforce, convert a $1.5M employee event program with a dedicated headcount to a $300k budget and no dedicated headcount.

  • Solution - Built a crowd-sourced approach to employee events that invited any employee anywhere to be an event host. Volunteer hosts would submit an approval form that was used to ensure events fit published guidelines. If approved, hosts were provided a toolkit to support communications, resourcing, and access to the budget. The overall process required minutes per week of the talent team’s time to support.

  • Results - Employees self-organized events such as attending a Cubs baseball game, cooking class, picnic in Central Park, virtual trivia night, pizza & beer game night, and many more. Ratings on events averaged over 4.9/5 and the process grew to effectively utilize the budget, and provide a variety of events in all locations of the company.
